These "Victoria Boots" are an absolute grail item from the legendary Autumn/Winter 2006 collection "These Grey Days," designed by Hedi Slimane for Dior Homme. Inspired by traditional Argentine tango dance shoes, the silhouette represents the peak of Slimane’s slim, rock-aesthetic. The boots are constructed from a combination of ribbed textile uppers and patent leather detailing.
As is characteristic for patent leather pieces from this era, the micro-thin lacquer layer has begun to peel in certain areas due to the natural aging process of the material over nearly 20 years. This effect is considered an authentic vintage patina among Hedi Slimane collectors and does not affect the structural integrity or wearability of the boots. The textile portions remain in excellent condition. The soles show minimal wear, indicating they were used sparingly. Made in Italy.
